County Tax Levy Sheets

By November 15 of each year the respective County Clerks of Kansas are to submit to the Director of the Property Valuation Division (Kansas Department of Revenue) certain tax-related information.  On or before November 30 of each year the Director of PVD transmits to the Director of Accounts and Reports (Kansas Department of Administration) the respective county tax levy sheets.

A county tax levy sheet contains tax-related information for every taxing unit within the county, such as the final total assessed valuation and total mill levy rate for each taxing unit, the current tax year mill levy rate for each taxing unit fund (e.g. general fund, library fund, employee benefits fund, etc.) for which property taxes will be levied.  Additionally, the tax levy sheets will provide for each taxing unit comparative mill levy rates reflecting the change, if any, between the current tax year and the preceding tax year.
