Discontinuance of Outbound |
| 2.0 | DISTRIBUTION: All Current Mainframe Users |
| 3.0 | FROM: Denise
A. Moore, Director of DISC |
| 4.0 | PURPOSE: To announce
discontinuance of Outbound. |
| 5.0 | BACKGROUND: Outbound has been used for many years by State
Agencies who access the State’s mainframe computer systems. This product provided
the ability to schedule and track file transfers between the mainframe and other
processing environments. Over the years its usage has diminished to the point
that the cost of maintaining the product out ways its usefulness. |
| 6.0 | DETAIL: Effective 3/1/2009, DISC will discontinue
the use of Outbound within the mainframe processing environment. All applications
using Outbound must determine and implement alternative solutions by the effective
date. |
