Electronic Records Committee Meeting Minutes

Attendees: Steve Johnson, KDOA; Doug Cruce, Judicial; Cathy Nicoletti, KITO; Scott Leonard, Matt Veatch, Cynthia Laframboise, Pat Michaelis, Letha Johnson, Justin Dragosani-Brantingham, KSHS. 

Minutes of Previous Meeting: Accepted as submitted.

KSPACe Update: The INK grant proposal has been submitted and includes cover letter, budget, equipment, Java programmer qualifications. Should know if approved by the next ERC meeting. We want to start on the project the first of February. Most of the equipment is mid-range. KU is using a Sunfire 280R for their DSpacee implementation, which is slightly higher-range than we are looking at.

Status of Guidelines for Managing Records on Kansas Government Agency Web Sites: State Records Board should approve tomorrow.

Risk Assessment Tool Project: If there are other people to add to this group, let Scott know. Members can prepare for the first meeting by looking at the KSHS survey done for the NHPRC grant, and also look at the Minnesota trustworthy standards. Meeting date is Jan. 22nd, 2 pm, KSHS.

Other Business: Next Wednesday, 3:30-5:00, a reception will be held at the Capital to celebrate Territorial Kansas Online’s completion/release. A celebration for the approval of the Web Guidelines by SRB will also occur at some point soon in the future—Scott will coordinate.
