Job Description:

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment verification document upon hire. KDHE participates in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security, with information from each new employee’s Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.

Data Analyst (K0236319) in the Office of the Secretary: Administration

Monitor and review Master Person Index (MPI) data daily to ensure a high level of data integrity. Use the Oracle Enterprise Data Quality tools to review potential duplicate person records. Perform person searches and research person data utilizing the KEES system, federal interface data, and documents to validate records. Make a determination if potential duplicate persons are the same person or not. Update the MPI tool as records are worked. Create a tracking document to record decisions and outstanding issues that require further research. Manually link records determined as duplicate in the appropriate systems.  Evaluate criteria and logic being used to flag potential duplicates. Reach out to business partners as needed for assistance with confirming person identity and communicating corrections and the impact of corrections.
Research potential causes of duplicate persons in the Master Person Index. Identify trends and make recommendations to adjust training and/or workflow to reduce future duplicate persons. Evaluate shared data communication to ensure that the appropriate level of information exchange is occurring. Monitor the overall health of the MPI data and create metrics to identify and report out on increases in duplicates and the reliability of the data. Assist in shaping the policies and procedures around the management of person data.

Minimum Requirements:
One year experience with Kansas medical and/or human services eligibility determination. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.

Salary:
$19.16 hourly; can vary depending upon experience and qualifications.
