Job Description:

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment verification document upon hire. KDHE participates in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security, with information from each new employee’s Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.

Coordinator (K0225606) in the Bureau of Environmental Remediation

Process Request for Reimbursements (RFR's) forms for both Trust and LUST programs analyzing attached invoices, supporting technical documentation, prior authorizations and project status to determine which expenses are eligible for reimbursement, and authorizing payment of RFR's. Procedures include percent completion of the project, analysis of actual work completed in relation to professional and technical time charged to the project, evaluation of technical reports, Determine incentive payment amounts and eligibility, and having significant interaction of the Storage Tank Section professional staff and vendor staff.  Handle and move large files from office to office daily.
Analyze, process, and track all utility accounts for correct usage, timely reimbursements, the establishment of new services, and retirement of established services with consultants, KDHE Project Managers, and utility company’s staff. Report any abnormalities in utility usage or account activity to KDHE Project Managers and Unit Chief.  
Responsible for evaluating vendor's field personnel from Vendor File Resume’s to assure they meet all education, experience, and licensing criteria to fulfill the KDHE requirements for the scope(s) of work being invoiced. Will notify the lead coordinator by email (RFR #, invoice #, & vendor name) of any RFR payment being held because the employee/vendor is on the OSHA/insurance expired list. Once the payment release email is received from the lead coordinator, employee will take RFR off hold and process it.

Minimum Requirements:
One year of experience auditing expense records and processing payments. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Essential to work well as part of a team as well as independently
• MS Outlook
• Word, Excel, Access, Lotus Notes, Crystal Reports
• Proofreading, editing, attention to detail

Salary:
$16.56 hourly; can vary depending upon experience and qualifications.
