A Tax Clearance is a comprehensive tax account review to determine and ensure that an individual's account is compliant with all primary Kansas Tax Laws. A Tax Clearance expires every 90 days. Applicants are responsible for submitting a valid certificate with all other application materials to the hiring agency. This is in accordance with Executive Order 2004-03. The position you are viewing is located in Wichita.  This position is full-time, unclassified position with benefits. Pay begins at $21.13 per hour, depending on experience and/or skill level of applicant.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• QA inspection of welding fabrication including carbon steel and aluminum at plants in state and out of state.
• QA inspection of Prestressed concrete plants, concrete pipe plants and KDOT project sites in state.
• Paint, epoxy and galvanize coating inspections and other miscellaneous inspections as needed.
• Overnight travel will be required at times. Travel home for weekends and holidays is provided.

This position is subject to a pre-employment physical.   The selected candidate will be required to pass the screening as a condition of employment in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
NOTE:  If you lack any of the required experience and want us to consider relevant education, you must provide copies of your transcripts/certificates before the closing date.

Essential Requirements:
• Applicant must be a Certified Welding Inspector with five years of structural steel inspection experience.
• Applicant must be able to work at heights.
• Applicant must be willing to travel in state and out of state during the work week.

Preferred Criteria:
• Familiarity with AWS D1.5 Bridge Welding code.
• Experience in concrete and concrete structures inspection is helpful.
• Basic Computer experience with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
