A Tax Clearance is a comprehensive tax account review to determine and ensure that an individual's account is compliant with all primary Kansas Tax Laws. A Tax Clearance expires every 90 days. Applicants are responsible for submitting a valid certificate with all other application materials to the hiring agency. This is in accordance with Executive Order 2004-03. The position you are viewing is located in the Office of Information Technology Services, in Topeka, and serves the citizens of Kansas.  This position is full-time, unclassified position with benefits. Salary begins at $46,092.80 - $53414.40 annually, depending on experience and/or skill level of applicant.

Provide information technology support for the Division of Operations as well as other functional areas of KDOT as required. This position is primarily responsible for maintenance of the Statewide Accident Review Committee System. This position will also be responsible to review, test and assist in the implementation of MF Legacy modernized .NET interfaces for other systems that this team supports by working closely with consultants, other support teams and users.

Essential Requirements:
• Successful completion of 18 hours in computer science coursework or certification and one year of experience coding, testing, and debugging application programs or two years of experience coding, testing, debugging, and documenting application programs. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.

Preferred Criteria:
• Proficiency in application development using C#.Net Web applications, visual Studio 10 or above, SQL Service 2008 R2 and higher, relational database design, creating tables, queries and stored procedures, and an understanding Active Directory groups and a client/server environment.
• Ability to identify and solve problems, to understand, document and communicate maintenance or new development requirements, design, build/code and test effectively.
