Job Summary: The Osawatomie State Hospital (OSH) and Adair Acute Care at the OSH currently has openings for temporary Mental Health Developmental Disability Technician (MHDDT) position. A negative drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
Job Description: As a temporary MHDDT you will perform basic nursing tasks in order to enable assessment of the patient conditions. Report changes in physical and emotional status of patients to promote patient care and safety by sharing information with trained staff. Assist and provide basic nursing care of patients to enable them to meet their needs of daily living by assisting them with personal hygiene, oral hygiene, care of clothing, etc…

Preferred Criteria: A valid driver’s license
Performance Standards:
To be successful, the expectation is that a candidate will be able to competently perform the routine tasks of the position with limited supervision by the end of the probation period.
