This position is a Laundry Worker who is part of a team sorting, weighing and recording soiled laundry accurately and efficiently; loading the washing machines and setting the proper formula; replaces laundry chemicals and supplies; disinfects washroom area, machines and laundry carts; folds/bags textiles filling daily Unit quotas; folds clothing, putting away in proper cart, operates finishing equipment, also fill in for driver on Larned State Hospital routes and trains/supervises inmates labor. Also participates in Natural Work Team and /or Quality Action Teams by applying job knowledge to recommended implementation if the desired quality changes designed to support change to programs and to support the agency mission and vision.
Special Qualifications/ Education
Unrestricted, valid Kansas driver’s license. Laundry experience is desirable. Driving large trucks is desirable

KANSAS TAX CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE REQUIRED: Each applicant applying for a State of Kansas job vacancy must obtain a valid Kansas Certificate of Tax Clearance by accessing the Kansas Department of Revenue's website at http://www.ksrevenue.org/taxclearance.html A Tax Clearance is a comprehensive tax account review to determine and ensure that an individual's account is compliant with all primary Kansas Tax Laws. What to Expect Next: Once you complete and submit your application materials, your application will be reviewed to ensure you meet the minimum and any necessary special requirements. Supporting documentation will be verified. Please follow all instructions carefully. Failure to complete all required paperwork, i.e., tax clearance form, including security clearance forms that will be emailed to you upon receipt of your application, by closing date will result in non-consideration for the position. Next, applicants selected for interview will be evaluated by an interview panel using performance/behavior based interview questions. A written exercise may be completed at the time of interview. A second interview may be conducted. Applicants will be subject to background check and criminal history investigation.
