6 of 26

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to print a time document for an employee.

Navigation: Time and Leave > Reports > Print Employee Time Document

Timing: Time documents may be printed anytime after timesheets (electronic version of the paper time document) have been created. Timesheets are created during the evening of the first day of the pay period.

Important Notes: Time documents must be retained for at least 5 years. Individual time documents may be printed for both hourly and salaried employees. Most agencies don’t print time documents for exempt employees. Agencies that record time worked for exempt employees for labor distribution purposes do print time documents for their exempts to record time worked. Other agencies do not.
