HOLIDAY TIME REPORTING Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to learn how to enter and “OK to Process?” time for an employee who worked a default schedule and who worked overtime on the holiday. Navigation: Time and Leave > Maintain Employee Timesheet Timing: Time and leave is entered each pay period for employees who have worked or taken leave. Important Notes: It is important that you enter time and leave accurately so an employee’s paycheck is correct. Click the link below to view the movie. It will allow you to view a demonstration of entering time for an employee who worked a default schedule and worked overtime on the holiday. This scenario uses a pay period that includes a holiday on both Thursday and Friday. The employee worked 10 hours on both holidays, and reached his FLSA threshold (40 hrs FLSA) after working part of his shift on Friday, so holiday compensation is entered on both Thursday and for the hours worked up to the FLSA threshold on Friday. The remaining hours worked on Friday (after reaching the FLSA threshold) are recorded as overtime. Since overtime (OTP) was worked on the holiday, the employee is entitled to holiday premium compensation at the .5 rate (HDV or HCV). We will demonstrate how to enter that code as well.
