HOLIDAY TIME REPORTING
Exempt Worked on Holiday

6 of 6

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to learn how to enter and “OK to Process?” time for an exempt employee who worked on the holiday.

Navigation: Time and Leave > Maintain Employee Timesheet

Timing: Time and leave is entered each pay period for employees who have worked or taken leave.

Important Notes: It is important that you enter time and leave accurately so an employee’s paycheck is correct. Refer to Bulletin 05-03 Clarification of Holiday Issues and Kansas Administration Regulation 1-9-2 Holidays for the options available for exempt employees who work on a holiday as the following movie is just one example.

In this movie, the exempt employee worked 6 hours on the Thursday holiday. The agency will change the 8 hours holiday Credit Paid (HDE) to Holiday Credit Compensatory Time (HCC). This will provide the exempt employee with one day worth of pay as well as 8 hours of holiday compensatory time to take at a later date. The agency has chosen not to provide additional compensate to the exempt employee for working on the holiday.
