Update & Reminders – Pay Changes Effective June 17, 2007

The June 17, 2007, merit salary increases for eligible unclassified employees in the Executive Branch whose salaries are set by the Governor are now in SHARP. These increases are the result of the salary increase pools agencies received from the Division of the Budget and agency distribution of those funds.

Reminder: A June 17, 2007, row will automatically insert into classified employees’ job data on Sunday, June 24, 2007, with new compensation rates. You may enter rows dated June 17, 2007, since the pay increase row will create effective sequence rows when needed.

Please do not enter rows dated greater than June 17, 2007 , until after the general increase has loaded on Sunday, June 24, 2007. This includes promotions, demotions, transfers, terminations and any other transactions that require a job data row to insert into employee work history.

Also, please add all job data rows that are effective dated prior to June 17, 2007 , before Sunday, June 24, 2007.

Reminder: A June 17, 2007, row will insert into Position Data and Job Data on Friday, June 22, to implement pay grade changes for specified job classes in the classified service. The affected job classes are listed in Executive Directive 07-376.

For these job classes, please add any position data rows dated prior to June 17, 2007, before June 22, 2007. Since position data does not allow effective sequencing, do not add any rows in position data that are dated June 17, 2007. Also, do not add any position data rows dated greater than June 17, 2007, until after the pay grade changes have loaded on June 22, 2007.

This update does not include Regents Institutions. These agencies will process their own employees. In addition, employees who are on an unpaid leave of absence will not be updated. Agencies should update these employees when/if they return to active status in the future.
