| The following information from the
Kansas Health Policy Authority is to notify agencies that an update
was made to the Self-Service Open Enrollment website on Friday,
October 19th. Any employees that defaulted to Plan B and had not
yet made a change in their enrollment are now defaulted to Plan
A.
An important change has been made in the information provided
in the Open Enrollment meetings and booklets. Employees currently
enrolled in Kansas Choice and Coventry PPO who did not make a change
in their enrollment during this Open Enrollment period will automatically
be defaulted to Plan A with the same health carrier. This change
will affect employees enrolled in a PPO plan who have not made an
open enrollment election and those enrolled in a PPO plan who have
gone on to the enrollment system but did not make a change in their
health care election. For these two groups of employees their health
plan coverage will be defaulted into Plan A. A letter is being sent
to employees affected by this change.
With the added choices and improved benefits, the vast majority
of employees currently enrolled in Kansas Choice and Coventry PPO
would save money with a switch to Plan A. Employees may also want
to consider the Qualified High Deductible Health Plan (QHDHP) with
Health Saving Account (HSA). The Open Enrollment online system has
been updated to show all Kansas Choice and Coventry PPO members
in Plan A.
With the added choices and improved benefits we encourage all
employees to carefully review their plan options and make their
Open Enrollment elections before October 31, 2007.
