SHARP Self Service Changes / Down from 4PM (03/26) – 9AM (03/27)

In an effort to reduce technical issues that have plagued some self service users, the Division of Information Systems and Communications has eliminated some of the customizations that were applied to certain PeopleSoft / SHARP Employee Self Service pages.

Most of the changes occur behind the scenes, and although the same self service information is available, visually there will be some changes.

We want you to be apprised of these changes that will appear in self service before they are made live. The changes will be visible in self service beginning at 9:00AM Thursday, 03/27/2008.

Self Service will not be available from 4:00 pm Wednesday, 03/26/2008, thru 9:00 am Thursday, 03/27/2008 so that these updates can be applied. Employees will not be able to access Self-Service during this time period; rather, they will see a page that informs them that the site is down for maintenance.

Following is a list of the visible changes:

Login Page: Information is rearranged. Employees will still need to enter their 11 digit Employee ID and their Password to log into SHARP Self Service.

Navigation: The look and feel will be more like delivered PeopleSoft core pages. The Navigation will appear on the left side of the page.

Collapse / Expand Navigation: The left hand navigation is collapsible and expandable using the collapse or expand icon which is located towards the top left side of each page.

Section Labels / Descriptions: Section Labels and Descriptions have changed slightly, but each section contains the same information and functionality as before.

Home Button: The "Home" link will replace the "Main Menu" link; however, it will remain at the top of each page so the user can easily return to the home page if he or she is lost.

Sign out link: The Sign out link remains at the top of each page.

We are hopeful that these changes will improve user experiences with SHARP Self Service and that by providing you this information in advance, it will assist you in answering questions your employees may have.
