| Eligible Executive Branch employees whose vacation
leave balances are still over the maximum at the end of the fiscal
year (06/14/08) are allowed to transfer those vacation hours (up
to 40 hours) to sick leave pursuant to Kansas Administrative Regulation
1-9-4(a)(2) or Executive Order 04-13.
Agencies will need to have all SLA earnings code entries to the
June 1 - 14, 2008 timesheets that affect leave overage for eligible
employees entered by 6PM on Friday, June 20, 2008 at the latest.
Agencies convert the vacation leave overage to sick leave manually
by recording the SLA earnings code and corresponding hours (up to
40) on the June 1 - 14, 2008 timesheets.
Instructions on how to determine which employees are over the maximum,
calculate the overage amount, and transfer the overage to sick leave
are provided at the SHARP Customer Service Center Documents page
