KOSE Payroll Dues Deductions
The Kansas Organization of State Employees (KOSE) recently contacted the Department of Administration’s Division of Personnel Services (DPS) to obtain assistance on the entry of several payroll deduction cards into SHARP. All of the cards have now been processed.

Some of the cards were signed several months ago so employees may have questions regarding the processing delay. If you have employees in your agency that have questions about the deduction, please contact DPS at 785-296-2573 or send an email to sharp@da.ks.gov (provide the employee’s name, employee ID, your agency name and your fax number), and we can fax you a copy of the Payroll deduction card. If the employee still has questions about their deduction, we can give you a contact name and number at KOSE as they have been very helpful and willing to work with these employees.

Please be advised that pursuant to K.S.A. 75-5501(b)(1) written authorizations for employee organization membership dues deductions from state employee pay remain effective for not less than 180 days and shall be terminated at any time thereafter upon 30 days’ prior notice by the state officer or employee of termination of the authorization-assigment.
