| A new action/reason of ‘Termination/Probationary
– Lack of funds’ has been created to address situations
where an agency must terminate an employee who is on an original
probation due to a budget cut. This reason should be used when a
probationary employee is terminated because of funding issues and
the termination is not related to performance.
While these probationary employees do not have employee preference
rights, it is important to indicate that their termination was not
due to performance issues.
