Pursant to K.S.A. 75-37, 105 (i), authorization for this program expired on June 30, 2006.

Turn Your Ideas Into Dollars!  The Kansas Legislature established the State Employee Suggestion Program in 2002. The program rewards state employees who bring forth suggestions and ideas to create cost savings and greater efficiencies in state government.

Upon approval of each suggestion, the employee who makes the suggestion is eligible to receive 10 % of the documented cost savings, up to a maximum of $37,500. The suggestion bonus is paid upon documented cost savings in the first 12 months after implementation of the suggestion.

In 2003, the Kansas Legislature modified the program to allow eligible state employees to receive a portion of their suggestion bonus immediately. Employees can now receive 25% of their suggestion bonus, up to $3,500, upon approval of the suggestion and estimated cost savings.

Got an idea? Take advantage of the State Employee Suggestion Program and turn your idea into dollars.
