Job Description:

12 and 8 hour shifts available – Day, night, and overnight available. Salary $21.13 per hour

Kansas Neurological Institute is currently hiring for Regular, Benefits Eligible, Licensed Practical Nurse's (LPN's) and PT, Non-Benefits Eligible Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN's).

The Kansas Neurological Institute is seeking compassionate and caring Licensed Professional Nurses to support, lift, guide, and teach Certified Medication and Nursing Assistants, as well as conduct Resident evaluations and assessments.

 KNI has 20 homes serving 140 residents. Dedicated home staff and CMAs are in the homes, tending to our residents every need. KNI Nursing and Habilitation Departments blanket the entire campus. LPN’s primary job duty is to provide routine care, observe patients’ health, assist providers and registered nurses, and communicate instruction regarding medications, home-based care, and other orders.

Job duties include planning and managing patient care, obtaining vital signs and performing assessments, administering injections of medications, provide respiratory care, change dressings, respond to emergencies and observing and recording patient’s conditions and reactions to medications and treatments.

Minimum Requirements:

Licensed Practical Nurse or Vocational Nurse (LPN) in the State of Kansas.

Must be willing to compliment staff with their knowledge, empathy and support

Must take and pass a pre-employment drug screening test

Must pass a criminal background check

Preferred:

Experience with persons with intellectual disabilities.

Able to operate various types of medical equipment.

Able to move clients to and from beds, wheelchairs, using 2-person or mechanical lift.
