Job Description:

The RN Specialist/Unit Leader is responsible for administrative leadership, staff coverage, patient care delivery, and compliance of all Larned State Hospital Policy and Procedure.  The RN Specialist/Unit Leader in this position must guide and encourage employee participation in quality initiatives through application of overall knowledge of the agency and its programs; encourage involvement and commitment to performance improvement activities; support the hospital in the pursuit of its mission. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development, and possess the ability to assess and interpret data to identify age specific needs.

KANSAS TAX CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE REQUIRED: Each applicant applying for a State of Kansas job vacancy must obtain a valid Kansas Certificate of Tax Clearance by accessing the Kansas Department of Revenue's website at   http://www.ksrevenue.org/taxclearance.html A Tax Clearance is a comprehensive tax  account review to determine and ensure that an individual's account is compliant with all primary Kansas Tax Laws. A Tax Clearance expires every 90 days.

What to Expect Next:  Once you complete and submit your application materials, your application will be reviewed to ensure you meet the minimum and any necessary special requirements.   Supporting documentation will be verified.  Please follow all instructions carefully.  Failure to complete all required paperwork, i.e., tax clearance form, including security clearance forms that will be emailed to you upon receipt of your application, by closing date will result in non-consideration for the position.  Next, applicants selected for interview will be evaluated by an interview panel using performance/behavior based interview questions. A written exercise may be completed at the time of interview. A second interview may be conducted.  Applicants will be subject to background check and criminal history investigation.
