A Tax Clearance is a comprehensive tax account review to determine and ensure that an individual's account is compliant with all primary Kansas Tax Laws. A Tax Clearance expires every 90 days. Engineering Technician (ET) Program
An Engineering Technician Associate (ETA) is entry level for the Engineering Technician series. Successful candidates may be appointed at a higher level dependent upon experience and qualifications. All new ETAs must participate in KDOT’s ETA to ET progression program. Pay begins at $13.61 per hour, depending on experience and/or skill level of applicant. Upon successful completion of this one-year program, employees promote to an Engineering Technician (ET) in the unclassified service at a pay rate of $15.03 per hour.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
CDL Required Position: This CDL position is subject to drug and alcohol testing under the authority of the US Department of Transportation. The selected candidate will be required to pass a DOT drug test as a condition of employment in this position. A CDL must be obtained within 60days of employment.
Any Commercial Driver who has received a Confirmed Positive Test Result or the Equivalent and has not successfully completed all Rehabilitation Program requirements and follow-up testing requirements is not eligible for this position. (Per SOM 2.1.10).
Pre-Employment Physical Testing Required: This position is subject to pre-employment physical testing. The selected candidate will be required to pass the screening as a condition of employment in this position.
