Job Description:



This is a commercial driver skills testing position. This position involves skills testing commercial motor vehicle operators. Duties include observing and scoring pre-trip inspections, backing maneuvers and driving skills in commercial motor vehicles.

Must have valid CDL and good driving record, pass background check and drug testing.

Part-time temporary position hours to be determined based on needs.

 No benefits. 


SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:  KBI check and FBI fingerprint required due to involvement in application/issuance process for KS Driver's License and/or KS ID Card.

A Tax Clearance is a comprehensive tax account review to determine and ensure that an individual's account is compliant with all primary Kansas Tax Laws. A Tax Clearance expires every 90 days. Applicants are responsible for submitting a valid certificate with all other application materials to the hiring agency. This is in accordance with Executive Order 2004-03. Your application will be considered incomplete if an ACTUAL COPY of your Certificate is not submitted within 48 hours after the posting closes.

High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license and one year experience or education in examining and licensing individuals to operate vehicles on public highways, roads and streets. Education and/or experience may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:  To be successful, candidate is expected to routinely perform the position tasks with limited supervision by the end of the probationary period.

LOCATION:  Driver Services, Garden City, Kansas

Regular Days of work:  10 Hours/Day, Tuesday - Friday.
Regular Hours of work:  07:00 AM - 06:00 PM
Hours of work are negotiable

This is an Unclassified position. 
The Hourly salary is $15.75
