Job Description:

REPOSTING.  There are several positions available working various shifts.

The Service Desk Analyst provides a world class level of customer service to all employees, partners, and other affiliates as a single point of contact for end users to receive IT support and service.  These positions serve as a representative of the IT department and must do so with professionalism, competence, and positivity. 

Responsibilties include monitoring the Service Desk phone queue and the ticketing system, while properly noting, categorizing, and logging trouble tickets; owning all tickets to ensure every issue is resolved in a timely manner or escalated to higher level of technical support when necessary. Adherence to established procedures and security policies is a must and high confidentiality is required in accordance with the agencies’ high standards and SLA’s (Service Level Agreements) in place for each client.

Minimum Requirements:  Ability to obtain and retain an OITS Security Clearance is a requirement of employment and continued employment.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

Technical Skills:

Education:  High school diploma or GED required; Technical Certification, Associate’s degree preferred.  A combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted when competency in the role is demonstrated.

Salary:  $27,000 - $35,000 (or commensurate with experience)

These positions are unclassified, full time with benefits.  Positions are open until filled.

KANSAS TAX CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE REQUIRED:  Each applicant applying for a State of Kansas job vacancy must obtain a valid and up to date Kansas Certificate of Tax Clearance by accessing the Kansas Department of Revenue’s website at http://www.ksrevenue.org/taxclearance.html.  A Tax Clearance is a comprehensive tax account review to determine and ensure that an individual’s account is compliant with all primary Kansas Tax Laws.  A Tax Clearance expires every 90 days.  All applicants, including current State employees, are responsible for submitting a valid and up to date certificate with all other application materials to the hiring agency.  This is in accordance with Executive Order 2004-03.  If you need assistance with the tax clearance, please contact 785-296-3199.
