Job Description:

The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) currently has a QRIS Supports Manager position in the Economic and
Employment Services Division.  The position is located in Topeka, KS.  The annual rate of pay is $46,000, however, it
is also based on education and experience.

This position will coordinate and manage the web-based activities related to the implementation and development of
the QRIS Field Test.  The candidate will assist in projects including the development and implementation of the Online
Professional Development and Portfolio system, and assisting in updating our Kansas Quality Network web page and other
Links to Quality related resources.
 
Preferred Screening Criteria: 
Attention to detail, creativity and knowledge of web-based systems. Good technical skills, ability to learn new
web-based programs. Ability to work effectively with community partners. Capability to creatively find solutions to
challenges and manage and resolve conflicts. Assist with the coordination of updates and improvements to the following
web based programs:  ECE Shared Resources, Kansas Quality Network website and CLARIS. Assist with agencies’ Social
Media presence via Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, etc. as directed by DCF communications department.

Knowledge of child care licensing regulations, Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) and other benefit programs and
federal regulations.

Education – Bachelor Degree in a social service or related field

Security Clearance: A background check (KBI – criminal background, welfare fraud, driver’s license, and Child/Adult
Abuse and Neglect Central Registry) is required for all positions with the Department for Children and Families (DCF)
as a condition of employment, which may include fingerprinting and FBI check.  Security clearance must be obtained
prior to employment with DCF.
