This position manages the full scope of activities of the Health Care Services Division and the activities of other related positions at KNI, including Medical Services, Dietetic Services, Medical Records, and in-house X-ray services, and serves as liaison for contract Physician, Dental Services, and Pharmacy services and on site clinic services (epilepsy, optometry, psychiatry and podiatry clinics). 

Minimum Qualifications:

         Must be a Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the State of Kansas

·        Four years of experience in registered nursing

·        Must take and pass a pre-employment drug screening test

·        Must pass a criminal background check

 

Preferred Criteria:  

      Knowledge of KNI medical processes, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations for ICF/IID and other licensing or certifying agency requirements of  agencies that monitor medical professionals in the State of Kansas.

·     At least three years experience in a management position in a health care setting.

·     Experience in providing health care services to people with intellectual disabilities or other related disabilities, experience in developing and coordinating training for nursing staff and direct support professionals, and experience in organizing and implementing quality assurance and quality improvement systems.

      Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with all levels of KNI staff and people who live at KNI.

·     Must be able to organize materials and make presentations to groups of medical staff, legislative groups, and other groups with specific training needs.

·     Must be able to identify and analyze problems and direct to improvement and solution.

 

· Shift: M-F 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
