Job Description:

Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) currently has an opening for a Technology Support Consultant in the Information Technology Department located at the Osawatomie State Hospital. 

Duties include:

Diagnosis, repairs, maintains, and installs computer hardware such as peripheral equipment and systems. Provides technical assistance to computer system users regarding equipment and Core Hospital Applications at Osawatomie State Hospital. Support requires the ability to make quick and independent decisions to ensure continuity of services for our patients. Actions taken are generally documented in the Trouble Ticket System and completed within the Information Technology Services’ Response Time Standards document. Enters SMART requisitions for ITS related orders. Assist and advise employees on the use of Core Patient Care and Business applications. Ensures that proper authorization has been granted based on business need. Support is typically provided at the time of contact whenever possible. Configure and maintain mission critical telephone switching equipment and voice mail. Serves as primary contact for cell phone services, including ordering, upgrading, configuration, and changing of cell phone plans. Identify and monitor the condition of critical hardware components in the Osawatomie State Hospital Data Center. Perform log entries on a daily basis to record, track and identify any abnormalities that could adversely impact hospital operations. Ensures security measures are in place to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure. Establish, monitor and deactivate user privileges necessary to access Core Patient Care and Business applications. Ensures that proper authorization has been granted based on business need.
