Job Description:

Job Summary: The Osawatomie State Hospital (OSH) currently has openings for a Health Care Technician II (HCTII).  A negative drug screen is required as a condition of employment.

Job Description:  As a HCTII you will provide collection and processing of biological specimens, perform and transmit electrocardiogram tracings, and perform waived and moderated complexity testing.  Utilizing specific several computer programs, enter physician orders, generate schedules, and billing information for Medical Support Services.   Perform preventative maintenance on equipment utilized to perform testing to assure accurate timely results to the physician’s to enhance patient care.

Preferred Criteria:  Certified Phlebotomist, and/or Medical Assistant, preferred.  Knowledge and skill, in the use of computers is essential. One year of experience in direct care. A valid driver's license.

Performance Standards:  To be successful, the expectation is that a candidate will be able to competently perform the routine tasks of the position with limited supervision by the end of the probation period.
