Job Description:

Include supervisory, consultative, and direct treatment in the clinical study and treatment of physical therapy-related function and disorders.

Work involves studying abnormal physical functional patterns of individuals, evaluating physical dysfunction; and providing appropriate therapy. Work includes supervising certified physical therapy assistants and/or aides and instructing other health related support staff. Work may include participation in a physical therapy research program or in training programs for students from universities cooperating in clinical programs for practicum or internship training.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Registration/temporary permits to practice as a Registered Physical Therapist in the State of Kansas
• Must be able to assist in the transferring of individuals
• Must be able to communicate with clients through the use of the medium that the clients can express, i.e. voice, body language, or subtle head or hand gestures.
• Must take and pass a pre-employment drug screening test
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Must stay current on CPR certification; KNI Risk Management and Emergency Preparedness; Infection Control; Fire Safety procedures and proper lifting techniques.

Preferred Criteria: 

• 5 years of experience as a Registered Physical Therapist
• 3 years of experience providing physical therapy services to people with developmental disabilities as a Registered Physical Therapist
• Positioning and would treatment experience
• Wheelchair assessment experience

Salary:

• Negotiable, based upon experience

Shift:

• M-F 8 am to 4:30 pm
