SHARP Payroll Errors |
MESSAGE TEXT: |
Numerous error messages were generated in the on-cycle payroll calculation which was processed last night for the payroll period ending 04/24/2004. The majority of the payroll errors were for the following: "The earnings code specified is not found in the Earnings Program". The Message Data then listed 'REM' as the earnings code in error. The cause of this error has been identified and the appropriate corrective action has been taken by the Department of Administration. No further action is required by agencies to correct this particular error and paychecks should calculate tonight (Wednesday, 4/28) for these employees. In addition, agencies may have noted certain general deductions which had previously been ended suddenly reappearing on employee paychecks. The source of this problem has also been identified and the Department of Administration will be taking the necessary action to correct this problem as well. Agencies do not need to initiate any action in SHARP to eliminate these erroneous deductions. Paychecks for the employees should recalculate tonight and the deductions should not appear on the calculated paychecks tomorrow. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by these errors. If, after reviewing the results of the recalculated paychecks tomorrow, you identify any paychecks effected by the problems noted above which have not been corrected, please contact Payroll Services in the Division of Accounts and Reports as soon as possible. Your patience is appreciated. |
