Increasing the field size of the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) Code displayed on the Job Code table from 4 to 6 characters. The new six-digit codes are already being displayed on DPS Job Class Specifications located at <http://da.state.ks.us/ps/specs/specs/default.htm>. A new field called Establishment ID is visible on the Work Location page in Administer Workforce. However, this field will not be used by the State of Kansas. A new page called Maintain Applicant Data is being added in Recruit Workforce and the page layout on the Job Requisition Job Posting page has changed. Instructions for using the revised pages in the Recruit Workforce Module can be found at: <http://da.state.ks.us/sharp/upgrade/bundle1changes.htm> Overall this upgrade should be fairly transparent to the user community and will require minimal effort by agency staff.
