The SHARP system will be unavailable starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2002 until 7:00 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2002. The Department of Administration is beginning an initiative to archive historical data in the SHARP system to improve overall system performance and in preparation of the SHARP 8.0 upgrade. SHARP system tables being archived include employee time and leave information, W-2 data, paycheck data and paycheck balance data. SHARP data in the selected tables for 1993, 1994 and 1995 will be archived during the weekend of December 7-8, 2002. After the archive process is completed this data will no longer be available in the SHARP database. Additional archives will occur during the next four months until all data prior to calendar year 2000 in the tables mentioned above have been archived from the SHARP system. Additional information regarding the schedule for the next four archives will be provided in subsequent SHARP messages. |
