The SHARP system will be unavailable starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2003 until 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2003. The Department of Administration is completing the third phase of an initiative to archive historical data in the SHARP system to improve overall system performance and in preparation of the SHARP 8.0 upgrade. SHARP system tables being archived include employee time and leave information, W-2 data, paycheck data and employee payroll balances. SHARP data in the selected tables for 1997 will be archived on Saturday, February 15, 2003. After the archive process is completed this data will no longer be available in the SHARP database. Additional archives will occur during the next three months until all data prior to calendar year 2000 in the tables mentioned above have been archived from the SHARP system. Please note the KPAY318 report uses data stored in the balance tables affected by the archive process. Therefore, you will no longer be able to generate this report for calendar years included in the archiving initiative. If the agency needs a record of an employee's earnings, taxes and deductions for a particular year, it will be necessary for the agency to generate and print the KPAY318 report prior to the archive date for that year. Additional information regarding the schedule of the next three archives is included in the January issue of the SHARPSHOOTER and in subsequent SHARP messages. |
